The international codename of Megi is Juan. Everyone are requested to be aware of this new super typhoon coming our way. Juan is the local codename of internationally named super typhoon Megi. The pictures below show how disastrous is this typhoon.
According to PAGASA, the effect of Juan is the same with the effect of the previous super typhoon disaster brought by Ondoy. Mr. Yumul of PAGASA confirmed that Juan will landfall to Cagayan Isabela Area. Estimated time of entry of the said super typhoon will be tomorrow morning.
According to Yumol, If it enters, it would be a typhoon category. Ondoy is a tropical storm category. Ondoy would actually be of a lesser strength. However, if you start looking at the amount of rainfall that Juan is going to bring, satellite imagery shows that the amount of rain it’s bringing is basically similar to what Ondoy had dropped in Metro Manila
