Pictures shown that the 10.10.10 Run for Pasig River made a history for having hundred thousand participants from different sectors of entertainment, government, local government units, students, employees and many more. This race made another record in the Philippine history for having a much number of participants in a race. This 10.10.10 Fun run is anchored through an aim of developing awareness that there is a hope beyond the current state of the Pasig River.
The 10.10.10 Pasig River event has approximately 101, 000 participants, this is according to the biggest accounting firm in the country, SGV. The event has an actual number of registered participants of 160, 000.
The Run for the Pasig River was organized by several people particularly Gina Lopez, the ABS-CBN Managing Director. She was so happy for the turn out of the event, she quoted that today's Run for Pasig River is 5 times more than last year.
Fidel V. Ramos signified the beginning to the race by firing a gun, together with his wife Ming. Jejomar Binay, Alfredo Lim, Manny Pacquiao, Mike Velarde and other big names in religion and politics showed their support in the much anticipated Event.
