Many are asking if November 2, 2010 (All Soul's Day) will be a holiday in the Philippines or not. According to Malacanang Palace, through Executive Secretary Paquito Jojo Ochoa, he confirmed that November 2, 2010 is not declared as holiday just today before flying to Vietnam for state Visit.
November 1, 2010 will be All Saint's day and is declared officially as holiday, as this is the time when Filipinos flock to cemeteries to visit their passed-away love ones.

All Soul's day (November 2) is not included Republic Act 9492 listing all regular and special non working holidays in the Philippines.
RA 9492 was signed by former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in July 2007. It requires that most holidays, except those with religious significance, be moved to the nearest Monday.
