December 24 and 31, 2010 were declared as Special Non Working Holiday by President Noynoy Aquino of Malacanang Palace. This is to give time to Filipinos to go home to their provinces and prepare for Christmas and New Year Holidays.
The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board is also readying for the influx of passengers at primary terminals. LTFRB is also preparing for issuing special permits for Public Utility Vehicles and buses for special provincial trips. As reported by ABS CBN, special permits will be released on December 20, 2010.
