Carla Abellana Confronted by a Columnist or Writer - Mario Bautista (Video)

Carla Abellana (GMA artist) was castigated by Mario E. Bautista, a veteran showbiz columnist during the presscon of  her newest Regal movie "My Neighbor's wife" held at Imperial Palace last August 22, 2011.

Mario Bautista confessed that she supported Carla from the start but she did not even extended her appreciation. According to news, what makes Mario even high-tempered was the negative reactions of Carla on the article that he wrote.

Quoted from the conversation posted by ABS-CBN,

Mario: Carla may gusto ka bang sabihin sa akin? I got your email?

Carla: Ha? Ay oo. Na hindi niyo pa ako naiinterview tapos may lumabas na article.

Mario: Natanggap mo ba email ko sa iyo?

Carla: Hindi pa. O sige I'll read it.

Mario: What I said was, I used to be very fond of you. When you signed up with Regal, I was there. I think I was the first one who wrote a full article on you.

Carla: Yes

Mario: I'd been very supportive of your career from Rosalinda to all others na ginawa mong soaps....basta sa lahat ng ginawa mo sa GMA sinuportahan kita.

Carla: Yes and I'm thankful of that of course.

Mario: No.

Carla: Oo naman.

Mario: No, you never said that. Not once did you acknowledge anything I wrote positive about you.

Carla: No the whole article naman po was very positive. It's just that you quoted me po well in fact you haven't interviewed me yet.

Mario: Makinig ka sa akin yung sinasabi mo na hindi kita na-interview, lahat yon nanggaling sa Regal.

Carla: Okay.

Mario: So hindi mo alam ang slant ng Regal para sa pag-promote ng movie.

Carla: Okay.

Mario: MInsan lang akong may naisulat sa iyo na parang di mo nagustuhan, magrereklamo ka?

Carla: Hindi po.

Mario: And all the while I've been writing positive things about you, but you never acknowledged it or even said 'thank you' kahit minsan.

Carla: Opo.

Mario: Yun naman pala eh.

Carla: Paano ba natin ito aayusin?

Mario: Ang ibig kong sabihin, kapag may nasusulat na maganda sa iyo, wala kang reaction. Mayroon lang akong nasulat na binase ko lang sa press release ng Regal, sinulatan mo agad ako. You even went out of your way to find out my email address, you've never done that before.

Carla: Hindi po sa Facebook lang naman yon. Madali lang, well anyway, the point is not that I'm thankful for all your support Sir, pero nakakagulat lang po. I'm sure anybody would react to anything negative.

Mario: Wala akong isinulat na negative sa iyo.

Carla: Opo opo. wala naman akong sinasabing negative yung article.

Mario: Eh yun pala eh, bakit ka nag-react ng ganoon?

Carla: Hindi po. But in all fairness naman po maganda po ang article, inumpisahan niyo na '3 years ago nandoon ako noong ni launch.'

Mario: Yun pala eh.

Carla: Opo but I hope Sir you will understand lang that I was reacting because I was quoted in the article.

Mario: Carla, I wrote articles about you based on press releases of GMA-7 not once did you complain.

Carla: Because not any of them were untrue. with this one po kasi..

Mario: Ito nga sinasabi ko sa iyo, lumabas na sa ibang column eh.

Carla: Opo, hmm sige po kung ibi-base niyo sa press release ng Regal, well siguro po may problema.

Mario: At saka lumabas na sa columns ng iba eh, bakit ka sa akin magrereklamo?

Carla: Hindi naman po lumabas yon eh, well hindi na lang po ako makikipag-away.

Mario: Hindi naman ako nakikipag-away. Gusto ko lang linawin na ikaw ang dami dami kong sinulat na maganda sa iyo, not once did you acknowledge it. Pero ngayon, may hindi ka nagustuhan bigla kang magrereklamo ng ganyan.

Carla: O sige po, ok lang po yon.

Mario: Alam mo, kumpara kay Lovi Poe na talagang when you write something about her, she acknowledges it, she thanks you, wala akong masasabi, she has more manners than you.

Carla: Ok, siguro po I think I will just finish this by apologizing. Kung kayo po ay na-offend, in a way, ako din po. I was just reacting because na-misquote po ako. I hope that you will understand me coming from my end po kung bakit ako nag-re-react. It was not my intention to make you feel bad, never po. Sana po ay maayos natin kung ano ang nangyari at bakit umabot sa ganitong point. So sorry po if you feel bad, sorry if you feel I'm not thankful I am po very much thankful for all your support for all the good articles you've written about me, maraming salamat po and I'm really sorry if I offended you in any way.

Mario: Okay, but I just wish you would re-read what you've written me because you are telling me what to write in my column. You even made a threat against me. Basahin mo ang column ko, ang sabi mo 'if you are not going to issue an erratum' which is not the right word. What you want is a retraction, which I will never do because I based it yun sa ano ng Regal, basahin mo nga yung letter mo.

Carla: Hindi po, ayusin po natin yan after ng press con para po malinawan po tayo. Pero I'm sorry po, I'm sorry.

Arjohn Gilbert - Aeta Youtube Sensation Invited by Charice in her Concert (Videos)

Another Youtube sensation from the Philippines is starting to become viral in the internet. Arjohn Gilbert, an Aeta from Mabalacat Pampanga can amazingly sing famous songs of Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Maria Carey, Colbie Caillat, Rihanna, among others.

Charice, an international star and a once Filipino Youtube sensation even inspired the minority from Pampanga through her tweets via her official Twitter account. She also invited Arjohn to be one of her guests and perform in a future Philippine concert.

Christopher Lao on his Floating Car in Flood Issues (Video)

Christopher Lao's name has recently trended in news and social networking sites. This is after he drove his car in flood "unknowingly" so it floated. Christopher Lao, a University of the Philippines (UP) student received offensive comments and insults on SNS sites specifically in Twitter and Facebook immediately after GMA aired the incident video on news.

Former UP Dean of Law, Marvic Leonen already gave her statements regarding the incident. As quoted, she said:

"You may be amused by the mistakes or misfortunes of others. But this does not entitle you to degrade their entire character or make conclusions about their whole person. Christopher Lao does not deserve the treatment he is getting from others on Facebook and Twitter. And yes, he is from UP College of Law and we are still proud of him"

Howie Severino, Editor-in-Chief of GMA News online also aired his side regarding the issue. In a GMA news article, as quoted,

"Mr. Lao was already victimized by the flood and a lack of warnings. He shouldn't be victimized again. Many of us could have been in his situation. We are urging the public to stop the insults. We regret that our video, which was meant to provide a lesson for all motorists, was used in any way to make fun of another person."

Christopher Lao already gave his official statement regarding the issue, he said:

"The past few days have been very disheartening for me and my family. As you know I have been a subject of a viral video that showed my helplessness during a trying moment. As it stands right now, I have several hate pages in Facebook and Twitter with hurtful and derogatory messages attacking my person. The reputation that I built the past years has been besmirched. A bad day has now turned into wounded feelings and sleepless nights for me and my family.

I have been silent the past few days as I want this to go away soon but not before saying sorry and thank you to people who matter.

I would like to apologize for my behavior that was seen on nationwide television and now on the internet. It was unfortunate that I was caught on camera immediately after an overwhelmingly stressful mishap.

I would like to again sincerely thank those who braved the flood to help a distraught stranger like me. Their selfless act reminded me of how dependable Filipinos are in times of crisis.

Lastly, I would like to thank my family, friends and all of those who showed empathy, consideration and support throughout these trying times. You have given me strength and courage to rise above and be a better person."

Mikey Bustos Filipino Tutorial Videos went Viral in Youtube

Mikey Bustos, a 29 year old Filipino-Canadian citizen is making a hit in Youtube. His online fame just doesn't limit to Filipino viewers but to some foreign citizens primarily in US and Canada. Mikey is a singer and had appeared in Canadian show dubbed as "Canadian Idol". He is a performer and had showcased his music in some of the states in the US like Chicago, California, New York, among others. He had also appeared in some of the local TV shows like Eat Bulaga, SOP, Unang Hirit, SIS and other shows in GMA.


Mikey is now gaining his popularity in Youtube for his recorded tutorial videos about Filipino traditions, habits and practices in dining, language, courting, using the comfort room and the like. McDonald BF GF Children Commercial Pulled Out after CBCP Reacted

McDonald's, an internationally acclaimed burger chain pulled out their children "BF GF" Philippine TV Commercial in all local television networks. This was after the Catholic Bishop Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) through Caloocan Bishop Deogracias Iñiguez asked Mcdo to stop the airing as the Catholic church believed that the children who appeared are not at the right age to talk and engage in such relationship. He also added that this would pave the way to make a total different morale in shaping children values.


McDonald's immediately conformed to CBCP's plea and will be airing new TV commercial starting Wednesday.

Bb. Pilipinas 2011 Question and Answer Portion (Video)

The selected top 15 candidates were tested intellectually. They were given questions to know the wits behind their glamorous statures. They were given 30 seconds to answer the questions being asked by the board of judges. All of the Binibining Pilipinas 2011 candidates did well in the question and answer portion. Mara Clara Chicago based fan - Pamela del Rosario meets Kathyrn Bernardo

Mara Clara avid fan - Pamela Andrea del Rosario from Chicago USA, finally met and talked with the real and alive Mara in a Skype video conversation held earlier today. According to ABS-CBN reports, Pamela affirmed that she will exert her continuous support until the end of the soap opera. Likewise, Kathyrn Bernardo also thanked her for her unfailing and constant support. She also wished of seeing her personally.

Pamela Andrea became popular for a viral Youtube video featuring her very worried reaction over the death of Mara in an explosion.

When she was asked about this, she said that she was just carried away by Dimples Romana's acting skills. She just put herself into her shoes, thinking that she also lost someone special.

Mara Clara Crying Child Video goes Viral in the Internet - on its way to Million Views

Mara Clara, the current soap opera of ABS-CBN had proven its charisma to all walks of viewers nationwide. From the month it was premiered up to now, it continuously gaining its popularity in Philippine television.

Last Wednesday, a much anticipated series was aired and tuned by its TV fans. Eventually, Mara (which was portrayed by Kathryn Bernardo) died for an explosion leading most of the viewers to tears. One of the viewers who were greatly affected by the Mara's death was a child. Her 3 minutes crying video taken by her sister went viral on the internet. She was heavily affected by the scene as she taught that what happened was real.


As written in the video description, her sister said, "She cried coz she thought that mara died :| HAHAHAHA superrr nakakatawa!!! LOL. I explained to my sister na hindi namatay si mara.
