Just recently, rumors circulated about the million peso price on variety of Philippine gecko species or "Tuko". Ordinary citizens became curious about the truth behind this buying and selling trade.
Earlier reports said that the booming trade of geckos was due to its extraordinary health benefits. Some say that its gall bladders produce special enzymes that can cure different kinds of illnesses such as Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS), Human Immunodeficiency Syndrome (HIV), Asthma and STDs.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Department of Health (DOH) were already alarmed about this issues. According to their initial investigation, no one confirmed of buying and selling trade. NBI also added that there are possibilities that these are just online scam and hoax.
As of the day, various health personalities and organizations said that there are no scientific evidence yet regarding the miraculous heal of Philippine geckos ("Tuko") in different diseases.

The DASH diet also known as the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension was declared as the Best Diet Overall by the US News and World Report. While the Mediterranean and Jenny Craig and Raw Food Diet at second and third place respectively.
Reports said that the researchers compiled the profiles of 20 diets and reviewed each of them in relation to nutrition, heart disease, best weight loss, best diabetes diet, among others.
As quoted by one of the representatives of the Magazine, she said:
"Exercise gets serious attention in some diets and lip service in others, but the primary focus of a diet, after all, is food. Whether to exercise, how, and how much is a lifestyle decision beyond the scope of a mere diet"

Junrey Balawing of Zamboanga del Norte will be regarded as the shortest or smallest man in the world in June 2011. The 17 year old boy stands 22 inches having approximately 4.4 inches difference against the current world record holder from Nepal named Khagendra Thapa Magar.
As reported by thesunco.uk, Guiness Book of World Records spokesman said that they will be looking at the claim of Junrey Balawing when he turned 18, the required age for a candidate to officially apply for a record.

Fresh from the extraordinary singing performance of Marcelito Pomoy in Pilipinas Got Talent last Saturday, another Falsetto singer from Cebu is on the rise. According to bluemoonray, a fan who uploaded his videos in Youtube, Geo Ed Rebucas is a Graduate of Cebu Banilad and currently working at 22nd Street Comedy Bar. Mara Clara Crying Child Video goes Viral in the Internet - on its way to Million Views
Mara Clara, the current soap opera of ABS-CBN had proven its charisma to all walks of viewers nationwide. From the month it was premiered up to now, it continuously gaining its popularity in Philippine television.
Last Wednesday, a much anticipated series was aired and tuned by its TV fans. Eventually, Mara (which was portrayed by Kathryn Bernardo) died for an explosion leading most of the viewers to tears. One of the viewers who were greatly affected by the Mara's death was a child. Her 3 minutes crying video taken by her sister went viral on the internet. She was heavily affected by the scene as she taught that what happened was real.
As written in the video description, her sister said, "She cried coz she thought that mara died :| HAHAHAHA superrr nakakatawa!!! LOL. I explained to my sister na hindi namatay si mara.
