PGT Season 2 Official List of Grand Finalists including Wildcard Winners

Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 2 completed its 14 grand finalists yesterday, June 12, 2011 after the audience overwhelmingly preferred Rico the Magician and Skeights to be included in the list of this years grand finalists.


Rico the Magician and Skeights got 41.68% and 30.16% of respective audience votes in the wildcard episode of the talent show.


The 14 lucky grand finalists will be competing for PGT's grand title on June 25 and 26, 2011 at Araneta Coliseum. They will be judged by the three resident judges together with the collected text votes from their supporters.

Leoniel Enopia and Elizabeth Dazo PGT Dance Sport Semi Final Performance (Video)

Leoniel Enopia and Elizabeth Dazo Dance Sport was one of the PGT Season 2's stunning and best performances in semi finals. This is after they received standing ovation after their exemplary dance moves.

The dance duo from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental lip sync Beyonce's "Rollin' on the River".

The performance according to the judges is close to perfection, best as the PAGCOR crowd shouted "Bacolod! Bacolod!"

As quoted from the judges comments,


FMG said, "Your performance is simply amazing, the teamwork is fantastic and it's flawless. It's a pleasure watching you"

Kris said, "This number is as close to perfection as we'll ever see on this stage."

Aiai said, "Ito ang totoong bakulaw na performance, pang semi finals na performance. Mas flawless pa sa'kin ang performance n'yo tonight"

Tonight, two of them will advance on the grand finals. To vote for Leoniel and Elizabeth, just text PGT NIELBETH and send to 2366.

Marcelito Pomoy - PGT Semi Finals Performance (Video)

Marcelito Pomoy, 25 years old from Imus, Cavite made the audience wowed for the second time as he performed his own version of "On the Wings of Love" by Regine Velasquez in the Semi-Finals of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2.


Marcelito Pomoy is one of the well-loved contestants in PGT Season 2. Kris Aquino, one of the judges even expressed her deep admiration to the singer.

As quoted, Kris said, "Nakakainlove ang boses mo kasi true blue Reginian ako talaga at ngayon na namamahinga si Songbird, perfect na nandyan si Marcelito"

Buildex Pagales and DJP Trio of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 (PGT Season 2) Grand Finalists (May 29, 2011)

The singing trio known as DJP Trio got the highest text votes in the Week 5 of PGT Season 2's semi final round held May 29, 2011 at PAGCOR, Paranaque. DJP Trio of Negros Occidental got 47.36% of total votes, almost half of the combined total number of votes. The group looked elegantly stunning as they perform their own version and style of Beyonce's "One Night Only"

As what the resident judges said during the PGT Season 2 semi finals performance night, the week 5 group, so far is the best group.

Buildex Pagales, the "Bruno Mars lookalike" who sang "I think I wanna marry you" ranked second with 26.99% of votes and happened to be the judges' choice got it to the grand finals.

Buildex Pagales and DJP Trio will be the new addition to the Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2's pool of grand finalists. Who will be the lucky winner? Let's all find out.

Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 2 Grand Finalists: Rico The Magician Eliminated, Freestylers and Madrigal Siblings Got it

Online viewers overwhelmingly supported their bets in the first batch of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 Semi Finals. Freestylers who got 46.42% of text votes was hailed as the first PGT Season 2's grand finalist. Next on the list was Rico the Magician from Caloocan City who got 22.31% of votes. Unfortunately, the second grand finalist fate was not based on the text voting results, it was from the judges. AiAi chose Madrigal Siblings, FMG chose Rico the Magician while Kris Aquino also picked the Madrigal Siblings who only ranked third in the text votes with 14.11%.


Some of PGT Season 2's fans agreed with the judges' decision while others expressed their opposite reactions on the PGT's first Semi-Finals elimination results. In one of the facebook pages for Rico The Magician, the admin said that they were annoyed with PGT Season 2's result, they are hoping that Rico will be included in the Wild Card.

A newly formed Facebook campaign is also arising towards PGT Season 2. A facebook fan page entitled "Pledge: I will not send a text vote on PGT from now on". As quoted from its description,

"Due to recent incident, na yung mga judge pa rin naman ang nasusunod at walang kwenta pala ang text votes natin, huwag na lang tayong bumoto. Sayang lang. Hayaan na lang natin sina AiAi at Kris ang magdesisyon."

Meanwhile, Brian Brady (Filipino-raised American singer) who got 7.80% of votes,  Jeremie Tampoy (blind singer and pianist) -5.09% and Light Gauge Acoustic band who got 4.36% of text votes didn't make it to the grand finals.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 (PGT) Top 36 Semi Finalists Announced

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 announced the top 36 contestants who will be vying for the PGT 2011 season grand title, fame and take home 2 million pesos. Out of hundreds who passed the initial auditions, only 36 of them were chosen to be the Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 semi finalists.

PGT Season 2's Top 36 semi finalists were chosen by its resident judges; Kris Aquino, Aiai delas Alas and Freddie Garcia.

Geo Ed Rebucas of Cebu - a threat to Marcelito Pomoy of Pilipinas Got Talent?

Fresh from the extraordinary singing performance of Marcelito Pomoy in Pilipinas Got Talent last Saturday, another Falsetto singer from Cebu is on the rise. According to bluemoonray, a fan who uploaded his videos in Youtube, Geo Ed Rebucas is a Graduate of Cebu Banilad and currently working at 22nd Street Comedy Bar. His renditions are mostly of Mariah Carey and Regine Velasquez songs. Here are some of the comments of Youtube users who have watched his videos:

Marcelito Po Moy of Pilipinas Got Talent - Pomoy's Rendition of Narito Ako and Sana Maulit Muli (Video)

A Diva and Balladeer in the making, Marcelito Po Moy of Pilipinas Got Talent from Imus Cavite got the solid "Yes" from all judges and audiences of Pilipinas Got Talent auditions held yesterday, March 5, 2011.

Marcelito Po Moy made the audience wild as he perfectly sang his own rendition of Regine Velasquez' "Narito Ako". A male auditionee with the softest voice, to described it. Kris Aquino wowed on his performance while AiAi De las Alas did the same thing. To prove more of his talent, AiAi requested another song. Marcelito didn't took a minute to think of another song, he immediately sang his version of "Sana Maulit Muli".


Kris Aquino commented, "Marcelito, naachieve mo ang something spectacular, ibang iba ang expectations namin." It was supported by AiAi and said, "Namangha kaming lahat. Marcelito, napaka effortless mong magperform." She requested another song and by this time, a duet version of "Hanggang Ngayon" was performed. Just the same with his previous performances, it was amazing.

Marcelito was also asked if he is gay but he answered it very straight - "No". The judges gave their comments and the only words they've just mentioned were all adjectives of Yes, "Absolutely Yes", "Super Duper Yes", "Perfectly Yes! You got it". "Batangas, inyo si Jovit, Cavite, inyo si Marcelito"

Marcelito upon his interview said that he just joined Pilipinas Got Talent because he wants to find his family particularly his mother. He said that his father was jailed and he was adopted by a policeman. He also mentioned that he was originally from Surigao and he only saw his biological father by the age of 24. His father told him that his mother and his sibling was in Manila, that is the reason why he joined Pilipinas Got Talent.

He got it, Jovit Baldivino is the Pilipinas Got Talent 1st Grand Winner. With his own rendition of Too Much Love will Kill You by Queen, Jovit out stand in Araneta Coliseum. Jovit became known from his extra ordinary voice and simple life being a siomai vendor.

Jovit Baldivino of Batangas never failed his supporters with his extraordinary singing talent. Aside from being the most popular Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Finalist, he also had his fans club called Jovinatics.

WHO IS JOVIT BALDIVINO?
JOVIT BALDIVINO – a native from Batangas who joined ABS-CBN’s Pilipinas Got Talent rocked the Philippines as he topped the youtube’s Views into Millions for his rendition of Arnel Pineda’s “faithfully”. Jovit is a typical participant whose main purpose is not to be popular but to lift up his family from poverty.

Way back to his performance in Pilipinas Got Talent auditions in Batangas, he got three solid yes from the resident judges of the show(Kris Aquino, AiAi delas Alas, and RM). Teary eyed AiAi even expressed her utmost sympathy with Baldovino. Jovit also got remembered for his humbleness, that even he won’t advance to the next level of auditions, he is still glad that his piece has been heard with passion and modesty in front of Filipino people.

Jovit once again rocked the stage as he sang his own version of Carrie, the reason why he made it to the grand finals.

Crew Mechanix in Pilipinas Got Talent

Crew Mechanix is a group of 12 boys dancers from Batangas who made the judges vowed to them. in Pilipinas Got Talent. Prior to the performance of the group, the judges complimented their uniform except for their shoes. Freddie Garcia said “Dapat siguro parepareho ang sapatos nyo,” while Kris Aquino answered back, “Baka siguro they can’t afford it yet boss.”

Crew Mechanix got the attention of the audience during their performance because of their synchonized dance moves. The Crew Mechanix received 3 yeses and they made it to the next round.

BM (Big Mouth) A perfect horse sound - Pilipinas Got Talent Video

A perfect horse sound performed live has done in Pilipinas Got Talent last Sunday by BM – Short for Big Mouth. Big Mouth came from Manila and joined Pilipinas Got Talent because he believed he got the extraordinary talent which is very rare to talents of Got Talent auditioners. He is working in Quezon City but have his audition in Baguio. His or rather her extraordinary talent was recognized in silver screens as he perfectly imitated the sound of a horse. Jovit Baldovino 's Faithfully reached Millions of Views

JESSICA ARCON in Pilipinas Got Talent

Another Calapeno proved its absolute talent in singing as Jessica Arcon, from Oriental Mindoro got three Big Yes from the Pilipinas Got Talent jurors last February held at Batangas City. Arcon is just a simple girl with simple dream, which is to be known by people in the field where she excels.

Arcon sang the rendition of Jennifer Hudson’s “And I am Telling you” where she got the initial buzzing reactions of the audience. Jessica never stopped her performance and continued her song despite the dissatisfaction of the audience. Once she had finished her rendition, Chris Aquino even said “Galit ba kayo sa mga taga Oriental Mindoro? Mga taga Batangas?”(Are you angry with Oriental Mindoro? Residents of Batangas?) She gave Jessica Arcon another chance to sing. She even advised Jessica to sing a Regine Velasquez Song (Pangarap ko ang ibigin ka) and Lani Misalucha's rendition of "Loving you". With the whistle she had made at the end of the song, she got the audience final thumb.


Lessons learned from the audience, don’t judge instantly, let them show what they’ve got. This experience is the same with Jason Francisco of PBB, but turned out that among the male housemates, he is the most unique.
Jessica will advance in the next level of Pilipinas Got Talent auditions in Metro Manila.

Hello World Group in Pilipinas Got Talent

         The computer programmers once again proved that they are not just for technology, they can also be entertainers, dancers and comedians. IT people from Davao City Hellos to the World as they amazingly perform their dance moves in Pilipinas Got Talent, the new show of ABS CBN showcasing extraordinary talents of Filipinos who want to make difference.


In the video below, the Hello World group interpreted the popular song of Taylor Swift entitled "Love Story".

      The group came up to a name Hello World because according to them every computer programming language always begin with this simple activity.

      This group got three solid yes from three Got Talent jurors (Kris Aquino, AiAi delas Alas and Fred Garcia -FMG).

      Another great performance that attested how great programmers were in different areas.
