Junrey Balawing - New Shortest or Smallest Man in the World Alive as Declared by Guinness World Records (Pictures)

Junrey Balawing of Zamboanga, Philippines has been officially declared as the new shortest man in the world by Guinness Book of World Records. According to its official website, Junrey measured 23.6 inches, 3 inches shorter to the previous holder of the title, Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal.

This is the most rewarding gift Junrey had ever received. The 5 kilogram little boy is currently celebrating his 18th birthday.


Vice Mayor of Sindangan also extends his congratulations to Junrey and his family. As quoted from Guinnessworldrecords.com, he said
We are very proud because our town will be known throughout the whole world now that we have a person who has become a Guinness World Records title holder

UST Largest Human Cross for Guinness Book of World Records Picture

In an effort to beat the Oslo Opera House Norway's largest human cross recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records which consists of 935 participants. University of Sto. Tomas (UST) in celebration of the Ash Wednesday marked the UST field with the world's largest human cross of approximately 24, 000 participants - combined students and faculty members.

According to news, participants joined the event without hesitations. Despite the blazing heat, they stayed on the ground because they are aware that the purpose of the celebration is not just for fame - but about penance and little sacrifice.


Tomasians unity is truly remarkable, prior to this significant event, they also had their biggest human rosary last December 2010 in celebration of the University's 400th founding anniversary. Check out the UST largest human cross pics below:
